Dr. Carrie Pope - Veterinarian
Dr. Carrie Pope graduated from Jacksonville State University undergrad in 2010 and Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.
She worked as an associate in Pensacola, FL for 2 years prior to starting as an associate at Columbus Veterinary Medical Center. What Dr. Pope loves about veterinary medicine is the challenge of not being able to discuss with her patients “what hurts” or “why are you here today”. Dr. Pope also loves being able to play different roles based on each patient's needs... whether that’s an orthopedist, ophthalmologist, dentist, surgeon, cardiologist, or even just a general practitioner administering yearly vaccines.
Dr. Pope focuses mostly on cardiology and general wellness. She lives with her husband Scott in Opelika, Alabama. They have been married for only 2 short years but have been best friends since her fourth year of vet school in 2014. They have two fur babies: Bella their 13-year-old Shih Tzu, and Tabitha their 5-year-old domestic shorthair cat. They love sports, especially college football and baseball. They tend to enjoy the summer months by the pool and grilling out with friends and family and enjoy traveling in the winter.
